Located within a picket-fenced back yard, Rose Cottage is named for the Mermaid Rose that completely covers part of the cottage. As the dependency of the Bateman-Rowell House, it was built in 1857. The cottage has a sitting room as well as a bedroom with a queen sized bed. Each room has a working fireplace and both rooms are furnished with antique pine furniture and antique prints. The bathroom has a claw foot tub in addition to the separate shower. Off street parking is next to the cottage. A full plantation breakfast is served in the William Clark House next door.
Built in 1852, and expanded in the 1870s, The Clark House is a light filled, charming Victorian home. There are two porches on which to sit and relax, as well as a shaded patio leading to a large back yard. There is off street parking by the back door. A full plantation breakfast is served in the dining room.
Julie's Room is the front bedroom of the house and is furnished in sunny yellow with a queen sized bed and antique furniture. The large private bathroom has a claw foot tub as well as a separate shower. Each bedroom has individually controlled heat and air conditioning.
Suzanne's Room is large. In fact, it is the entire original house. There is a queen sized bed, antique furniture and a large sitting area. The room has a private bathroom and individually controlled heat and air conditioning.
Rates
All rooms are $130 per night.
