The Welsh Lady Inn bed and breakfast is a unique complex of 3 rooms situated on a beautiful one acre setting in the historic district of Jefferson, Texas. The William Clark House and Rose Cottage have recently been restored to their former glory and are located just one block from Jefferson's downtown restaurant and shopping district.

Allen Urquart, one of the founders of Jefferson, built the back part of the house in 1852. Later, the home was expanded  by William Clark, who was Postmaster for over 50 years in Jefferson. The home now bears a Texas State Historical Commission Medallion and a National Registry of Historical Places Marker.
